Great embroidery requires more than putting a logo into a machine.
Artwork must be properly digitized, thread colors selected, garments stabilized, designs sized and positioned correctly, and equipment adjusted for different fabrics, products and construction.
That's where experience matters.
Cool Air combines 50 embroidery heads with a production team that includes people who have spent decades working in apparel decoration.
That combination gives us the ability to produce high-quality embroidery efficiently while maintaining consistency across both small programs and thousands of garments.
What Can We Embroider?
Embroidery works exceptionally well across a wide variety of apparel, headwear and branded products.
Not every garment embroiders the same way. Fabric weight, stretch, garment construction and design complexity can all affect the finished result.
Our team can help select products that will both perform well and look great once decorated.
Custom Hat Embroidery
Headwear is one of embroidery's most popular applications—and one where production experience matters considerably.
Cool Air produces custom embroidered caps, beanies and other headwear for businesses, construction companies, breweries, schools, teams, events and retail merchandise programs.
Our team considers the structure of the hat, decoration area, stitch count and design when preparing artwork so the finished embroidery works with the product rather than fighting against it.
Corporate Apparel & Workwear
Embroidery provides a polished, professional appearance that makes it particularly well suited for corporate apparel and workwear.
Popular applications include embroidered polos, quarter-zips, jackets, fleece, button-down shirts, Carhartt workwear and employee uniforms.
For organizations managing apparel across multiple employees or locations, Cool Air can combine embroidery with online company stores, warehousing, kitting and fulfillment to create a complete apparel program.
From Artwork to Embroidery
Before an embroidered logo can be produced, the artwork must be converted into a specialized stitch file through a process called digitizing.
Digitizing determines how the embroidery machine builds the design—stitch direction, density, sequence and other production characteristics that affect how the finished logo looks.
Our experienced team prepares artwork specifically for embroidery and provides a proof for approval before production.
Artwork is reviewed for garment type, placement, size and embroidery suitability.
The design is converted into a specialized stitch file that tells the embroidery equipment how to build the logo.
Design size, placement and other production details are reviewed before the order moves into production.
Garments are hooped and stabilized appropriately for their fabric, construction and embroidery location.
Thread colors and equipment are prepared and the approved design is embroidered onto the garments.
Finished pieces are inspected and prepared for pickup, shipping, kitting or fulfillment.
Large-Volume Embroidery
Large embroidery programs require consistent digitizing, thread management, garment handling, production scheduling and quality control.
With 50 embroidery heads, Cool Air has the infrastructure to efficiently produce large programs while maintaining control of the process in-house.
Our production experience includes individual embroidery programs exceeding 25,000 pieces.
Embroidery or Screen Printing?
Neither process is universally better. They create different appearances and work best for different applications.
Embroidery
Embroidery provides a dimensional, premium appearance and is particularly popular for polos, jackets, hats and professional workwear.
Screen Printing
Screen printing is often better suited to T-shirts, sweatshirts, event apparel and larger graphic designs.
Because Cool Air provides both processes in-house—along with DTG and DTF—our team can recommend the decoration method that makes the most sense for your particular project.
